CYO Girls Volleyball

  Summary of 2008-09 Rule Changes:

  1. All Coaches are to be CYO certified.

  2. CYO Credentials are to be worn and visible at all times.

  3.  Developmental & Elemental Divisions will use a Volley-lite ball for each game.

  4.  The extra time out awarded when the game must extend beyond the regular point total has been removed.  Each team has two (2) timeouts per game.

  5.  In the Cadet Division - once a server has scored five (5) continuous points, that team shall rotate to a new server.

The St. Mary's Athletic Program only participates in the CYO Girls' Volleyball program.  Teams in grades 4 - 8 begin their season in early August.  Their games usually start in September and last until early November, including any tournament play.  Practices are held in the Garrity Center, after school hours, usually until 9:30pm.  Game are held on Saturdays and Sundays at various locations around the  westside of Cleveland, including the Garrity Center.
